Topaz #3 how about a little EP?

This week's sketch was perfect for using some Echo Park! I have a TON of pictures of Rylee at the beach so I bought the Splash collection exclusively for them! Here is this week's sketch for the third installment of the Topaz club:

and here is my interpretation:

Products used:
  • Bazzil cardstock
  • EP Splash pp & stickers
  • Ranger stickles in baby blue, yellow, fruit punch and diamond
  • AC Slick Writers
Well that's all for now! I'm going to try and scrap a little bit more in the next few days since I start school on the 17th! Who knows how much I'll be able to do once it starts :-\ TTFN!

I'm on a ROLL!

I've been doing pretty good lately about getting a layout done everyday! *pats self on back* haha This challenge must really be motivating me! :) Well today is Wednesday and as you should know by now that means MOJO over at SS! Here is the sketch for the second installment of the Topaz club:

and this is what I came up with:

Products used:
  • Bazzil Cardstock
  • Fancy Pants Beach Babe pp
  • AC Thickers in Macaw & Jewelry Box
  • Ranger Stickles in Baby blue and diamond
  • Sew Easy
  • Me & my big ideas chipboard stickers
  • Recollections bling and shape stickers

I wasn't thrilled about this one when I finished it...I felt like it was too plain! I have a tendency to over embellish sometimes and I think it's hard when I don't! haha If that makes sense. Anyway I like it, sometimes simple is good. I think the pictures show a lot with Rylee feeling the sand for the first time and wading in the ocean for the first time as well! :) Welp that's all for now folks, hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow! I've got to get lots of scrappy time in before school starts in 2 weeks :( TTFN <3

3 projects down 97 to go!

Well this challenge I've placed myself on is going strong. I've created 3 layouts over the past few days and so far so good! And honestly I haven't had any urge to buy anything...I even kept myself from going to Hobby Lobby the other day! :) Anyway I did the most recent sketch from Bird is the Word...I didn't do the word challenge but instead just used the sketch for inspiration. Here it is:

and here is my layout:

Products used:
  • Echo Park Victoria Gardens collection
  • AC Thickers in LAX
  • Sassafras foldies
  • EK Success flourish punch
  • Journal genie
  • Ranger Stickles in fruit punch, lime green and yellow.
  • MS bling
I love how this turned out! I had a feeling once I started working with these papers that it would come out great! Echo Park is amazing! Well I can't think of anything else to say so I'm gonna end here! I'll be back with more soon :)

A different kind of challenge!

So while perusing around on facebook today I stumbled upon a different kind of challenge that should really be interesting! I try to scrap AT LEAST once a week if not more, and sometimes it just doesn't happen at all :( Meanwhile it seems that I buy something scrap related more than I actually scrap! haha So in honor of actually CREATING I'm doing this 100 card or layout challenge! And besides I need to save money for more than 1 occasion. So here's how the challenge works...I am NOT allowed to buy ANYTHING scrap related (adhesives not included) until I have completed 100 layouts or cards. Hopefully some of my other scrappy friends will join me on this frugal journey :) I look forward to showing you all what I create <3

Happy scrapping!

Long time no scrap :) MWMs #51 & 52

annnnddd I'm back! haha Sorry it's been so long...last week was the family vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC and since then I've been playing catch up on everything! But I'm back and just in time!! This week marked ONE whole year of mojos at Scrapbook Steals!! WHOOHOO!! I seriously can't believe I've been mojo-ing it up for that long!! Time flies when you're having fun :) I was a little late with last week's mojo so I will start the catching up process NOW! Here is the sketch:

and for the first time I turned a 2 pager into a 1 pager! Here is my layout:

Products used:
  • Bazzil cardstock in Quicksand
  • MME Lime Twist-Life of the Party pp
  • AC Thickers in Lullaby
  • MME Lime Twist twine
  • Ranger Stickles in lime green
  • misc. buttons
I really love how this turned out! This collection from MME is so cute and fun! They truly have some beautiful papers :)

And for this week's sketch we were honored by Erin Colby, this month's guest designer! She did a GREAT job coming up with not just one but TWO sketches!! I honestly got teary eyed when I saw her first layout!! :) Here is the first sketch she came up with:

and here is my interpretation:

Products used:
  • Bazzil cardstock in Fussy
  • Echo Park Life is Good pp
  • AC Thickers in Lullaby
  • MS large butterfly punch
  • misc. brads
  • Ranger Stickles in baby blue, fruit punch and diamond
  • Prima flowers
Right when I saw this sketch I knew it would be 1 of 2 pictures that I had recently taken. I've done a couple of daddy/daughter layouts lately so I went with this picture of Rylee and her stuffed Mickey Mouse doll. She is OBSESSED with Mickey!! lol When I saw her cuddled up with him one night I had to take a picture! You would think with such a love for him I would have more pics of the two but sadly I do not. Anyway I'm very happy with how this came out! I love me some Echo Park <3 Thanks for stopping by...until next time :)
